Linking tenders
Every project in Otnox can be linked to a tender record. This connection keeps your pipeline organized and gives you one-click access to the source procurement data, documents, and AI analysis.
How to link a tender
When creating a project
If you create a project from a tender detail page, the link is established automatically. The project inherits the tender's title, buyer, deadline, and estimated value.
Adding a link to an existing project
- Open the project from the kanban board or project list
- Click Link tender in the project detail panel
- Search for the tender by title, buyer, or ID
- Select the correct tender and confirm
What linking provides
Once a tender is linked to a project, you get:
- Direct navigation — click the tender link in the project to jump to the full tender detail page with documents, AI analysis, and buyer information
- Automatic deadline sync — if the procurement authority extends the deadline, it updates in your project automatically
- Value updates — if the tender's estimated value changes, your project reflects the update
- Status awareness — when a tender is closed or awarded, you see that status in your project
Unlinking a tender
To remove the connection, open the project and click Unlink next to the tender reference. The project remains in your pipeline; only the connection to the tender record is removed.
Always link projects to their source tender. This creates a single source of truth and prevents your team from working with outdated information copied manually from the procurement portal.
Multiple projects per tender
In rare cases, you may want to create multiple projects for the same tender — for example, if your company is preparing two separate lot-specific bids. Otnox supports linking the same tender to multiple projects.
